What we need:


You will liaise with existing customers and grow business through development and execution of an account management plan that increases overall gross profit while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

You will manage a portfolio and be a seasoned professional excelling at both relationship building and analytical problem solving.
This position is located in Calgary, AB.

What you will be doing:


  • Actively meeting or exceeding quarterly and yearly gross profit goals, in collaboration with the Director, Account Management.
  • Conducting regular in person meetings with clients throughout the year to discuss activity to date, savings achieved, waste diversion reporting, current and future goals, and developing strategic plans to address those needs.
  • Managing contract renewals proactively to ensure customers are on a current multiyear agreement.
  • Reviewing sensor reports monthly and proactively proposing and implementing ongoing recommendations to gain waste system efficiencies, including the sale or lease of new equipment and implementing vendor changes, new services, and service schedule changes.
  • Monitoring customer activity and proactively making recommendations for service changes to better meet their needs (e.g. customers that experience seasonality, retail customers at Christmas etc.)
  • Providing education, signage, and other resources to help ensure clients and their tenants reduce contamination and meet their diversion goals.
  • Directing operational requests (including but not limited to extra pickups, temporary bins, rolloff haul requests) to Service Coordinator team. Acting as an escalation point for service issues that could impact the retention of the client.
  • Other related tasks and duties as assigned.

Is this you?
- "Must Have" Skills/Experience:_

  • Clear written and verbal communication in English is required,
  • Experience: At least 2 years account management in a B2B environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop insights from available data sources
  • Ability to draw out strategy and plans from analytical insights (ie: finding the winwin solutions)
  • Priority management skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Effective communication skills (ie: active listening)
  • Customer relationship development and management
  • Presentation skills (ie: one on one)
  • Powerpoint, excel, outlook skills moderate skill level
  • Balance between detail and broad perspective
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Problem solver/solution provider
  • Ability to adapt and change
- "Nice to Have" Skills/Experience:_

  • Fluency in French or other languages an asset;
  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Sales or Business is preferred
