We currently have an opportunity for anOperations Manager in Central Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee the customer-facing agricultural operations functions within a particular district and lead the team responsible for executing our Smart Solutions for local growers and partners.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the agronomy, hardware support, and soil sampling activities for customers
- Develops daily, weekly, and monthly work plans and dispatches resources based on changing company and customer priorities
- Provide data and reporting to the regional operations team in support of short and long term operations plans and forecasts
- Work with the contract administration team to ensure customer billing activities are completed accurately and on time
- Assess and analyze district budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits and customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular meetings with district operations team and participate in weekly regional operations leaderships meetings; foster collaboration between the district's sales and operations team members by removing barriers to communication and collaboration
- Champion a culture of safety by ensuring safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of customer hardware, ensuring safe vehicle use practices, and by reporting and taking immediate corrective actions in response to incidents
- Keep accurate record of overall district inventory and fixed assets, including building maintenance, vehicle maintenance, repair and position, and all company hardware
- Work with Human Resources to develop and implement an effective people plan, which includes leading recruiting activities for the operations district
- Supervise and mentor the district team, and ensure that training and professional development goals are being met for self and all Team Members
- Travel and meet with growers throughout the district as needed to understand expectations and help develop solutions to better serve their needs
This role could be ideal if you have:
- 5+ years of operations leadership experience, preferably in an agri-business setting
- Postsecondary education in agriculture, supply chain, or logistics
- Previous leadership experience and the ability to mentor and coach for performance
- Welldeveloped business and financial acumen with a natural aptitude for technology
- Strong problemsolving and customer relationship skills
