JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Life Long Learning Administrator, the Early Childhood Program Supervisor is responsible for the general day to day operations, management and administration of the Child Care Centre.

The Supervisor is responsible to ensure services provided are within the legislated guidelines.

The Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership in keeping with the philosophy of the Early Childhood Division (Child Care Centre, Head Start Family Resource Center) and to ensure quality client service while meeting the developmental needs of each child and supporting families in providing stable environments which enhance children's social, physical, cognitive and emotional well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Early Childhood Educator diploma from a recognized postsecondary institution and enrollment with the College of ECE;
Certification in Early Childhood Administration;
Minimum 5 years in a supervisory capacity;
Previous experience with Ministry reporting, proposal writing and monitoring a general ledger.
