Responsibilities:

Verify accuracy of borrower information and supporting documents
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Make underwriting decisions in a timely manner.
Communicate underwriting decisions and requirements to loan officers and processors.
Respond to inquiries and provide guidance to loan officers and processors.
Monitor industry trends and recommend changes to underwriting guidelines and practices.
Manage office operations and maintain office efficiency.
Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments.
Maintain and update company databases and files.
Process and file paperwork and documentation
Provide administrative support to submission senior underwriter.

Qualifications:

Mortgage License is an asset. but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting or 2+ years of experience in mortgage administration or banking experience; related field
Proficient in OneNote, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word is an asset but not required.
Strong knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and guidelines
Excellent analytical and decisionmaking skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in CRM programs is an asset but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detailoriented and able to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
