We are looking for an
Accounts Receivable Collections Agent to join our collaborative finance department in
Dartmouth, NS.

Reporting to the controller, the main responsibility for this role is to make phone calls to collect payments from customers, and ensuring proper documentation is provided.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provides timely and accurate collection and posting of customer payments
  • Contacts customers on overdue accounts and resolves outstanding issues delaying payment in a timely manner
  • Maintains accurate, uptodate records on calls and interactions with customers
  • Provides all required documentation to customers for proof of sales and delivery
  • Maintains credit hold lists and communicate to branch managers
  • Provides follow ups on payment dates
  • Provides professional customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Provides feedback and updates to Accounts Receivables Department as needed

Required knowledge and training

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Postsecondary Accounting Certificate/Diploma considered an asset
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Basic Accounting knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fastpaced environment
  • Proficient with ERP's and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
