MILLWORK DRAFTER / DETAILER
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Creating comprehensive drawings with all necessary information to guide the product through production.

Utilizing AutoCAD for drawings, ensuring all details are accurately represented for seamless production. Creating drawings that directly translate to the final product.

Interpreting architectural drawings, site dimensions, and other relevant data to understand project requirements thoroughly.

Collaborating with various teams to optimize drawing production efficiency
, adhering to budgets and timelines.
-
Revising redlines and ensuring the accuracy of information prior to resubmission, while exceeding customer requirements.

Creating bill of materials for shop drawings and liaising with programmers and management for seamless project execution.

Developing detailed design drawings and
specifications for millwork components, adhering to designer requirements.

Collaborating closely with the Designer, Project Manager and Production Manager, modifying designs as needed to address deficiencies or reduce production problems.

Adapting company standards to drawings and details, incorporating supplier specifications accurately.
-
Innovating new methods to enhance drawing quality and process efficiency.
-
Conducting kick-off meetings with cabinetmakers and assemblers, ensuring smooth communication and workflow.
-
Communicating project timelines internally across departments to ensure alignment and coordination.
ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Auto Cad is required
- High Attention to Detail
- Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
- Able to generate layout drawings
- Familiar with design parameters related to architectural millwork.
- Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.
- Able to figure out what material is used with various products
- Able to work with mínimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Architectural Millwork Industry (4 years+)
- Auto Cad (required 4 years+)
- Solid works (preferred 2 years+)
- Excel (required Proficient
- Advanced)
- Carpentry/ Cabinet Making Experience is considered an asset
- Good understanding of hardware
- Problem and technical solver
- Selfdriven and ability to work independently
- Some shop experience is an asset
- Knowledge of AWMAC Standards is an asset
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay:
$24.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
