    Description

    Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (WTS) is a global leader in water recovery, treatment, and reuse. We specialize in designing and providing a variety of water systems ranging from food and beverage applications to municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, including microelectronics ultrapure water.

    Joining the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EI&C) Engineering team at Veolia WTS means collaborating with a diverse group of engineers to deliver customized project designs that meet customer expectations in terms of quality, schedule, and budget while mitigating project risks.

    In this role, you will be involved in Process Control Design, Programming, and other EI&C activities across a wide range of water technologies. Your responsibilities will include developing control documentation, programming, network design, and assisting in the commissioning process as projects progress.

    You will also play a key role in on-site testing of water treatment systems at our Ancaster and Guelph facilities when needed. Additionally, you will participate in cross-functional project team discussions and client meetings, ensuring all engineering documents are thoroughly understood and followed.

    • Design comprehensive control logic for plant operations prioritizing operator and equipment safety
    • Proactively manage budget, scope, and schedule while reporting potential risks and opportunities to the project teams
    • Provide support for the production and testing of Water Treatment systems at Veolia manufacturing facilities

    Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent) and a minimum of four (4) years of experience with control systems such as Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA design and programming. In addition, automation testing experience and technical knowledge in industrial control systems are essential.

    • Experience with I/O modules, PID controllers, VFDs configuration, and Network communications
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
    • Understanding of Low Voltage Power Distribution electrical design
