About Us:
Our client, a leader in wholesale plumbing and construction distribution is looking for a dynamic Credit Manager to join their team and lead proactive credit management processes and solutions.
Overview:
The Credit Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our clients credit policies and procedures while balancing risk exposure and increasing sales.
In this role, you'll be responsible for credit investigations, new account onboarding, and financial analysis, contributing directly to customer relationships in our fast-paced and growing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Collectors.
- Develop and implement company credit policies and procedures to drive sales growth while mitigating risk.
- Utilize available credit information to evaluate credit risk, determine payment terms, and set appropriate credit limits for new accounts.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure credit limits are supported, reduce exposure, and identify growth opportunities.
- Manage escalated and highdollar receivables, negotiating payment arrangements, and recommending actions for bad debt, collections, or legal recourse.
- Coordinate collection strategies for complex cases and legal actions as needed.
- Monitor credit violations and orders on hold, making decisions to adjust credit exposure or hold future orders.
- Generate AR reports, conduct bad debt analysis, and manage key metrics.
- Collaborate with Auditors and the Accounting team to meet audit expectations.

- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a Credit Management Role.
- CCP designation required.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and ratios.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Infor SXE considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Ontario Construction Industry considered an asset.

$115,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
