The Beneficiary and Diagnostic Services Branch (BDSB) provides strategic leadership and cross sector coordination of initiatives that contribute to the overall health care system in BC.

This area is responsible for the policy, direction and compliance of the Medical Services Plan (MSP) and the overall management of the Supplementary Benefits and midwifery programs.


This includes:

eligibility, enrolment, residency, retroactive Premium Assistance, and the travel assistance program as well as Out of Country medical service requests.

The BDSB compliance and review program ensures the tax payers of British Columbia that provincially funded services are only provided to individuals who meet MSP requirements per provincial legislation and policy.


The Program Evaluation and Compliance Analyst is responsible for conducting BDSB program evaluation, developing and implementing stakeholder education approaches, and leading MSP compliance reviews.

The Analyst gathers and analyses information, reports on findings and provides recommendations and resolutions to branch management.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, Business Administration, Statistics. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in analyzing and evaluating program performance.
  • Experience analyzing and synthesizing multiple sources of data and information to identify problems and/or develop recommendations.
  • Experience in the development of documents including briefing notes, discussion papers, presentations, fact sheets, correspondence and other materials
