Job Description:

Reporting to the AVP, the Associate Manager, Reporting and Investment Fund Operations will be responsible for leading key operational areas oversight and activity related to the investment fund business of Canada Life under Canada Life Investment Management Limited (CLIML).

This includes relationship management and coordination of the operations for investment funds including but not limited to, working with custodian for accounts setup, Net Asset Value (NAV) oversight, and transfer agency oversight.

Additionally, this individual will provide business lines with reporting and product intelligence, interfacing regularly and providing critical insights to both the Wealth Solutions team, as well as other key constituents across multiple areas within Canada Life.

What you will do

With a high degree of expertise and detailed direction, collaborate with providers of CLIML's operational functioning (Mackenzie and CIBC Mellon) to ensure operation needs and regulatory expectations placed on the firm are being met.
Coordinate with multiple teams to support new product launches operationally including overseeing accounts setup and maintenance, market openings and tax documentation, working with fund managers, technology partners and other stakeholders.
Create, develop, and manage operational Policies and Procedures
Participate in initiatives that will drive strategic and tactical improvements
Develop and maintain operations dashboards and prepare presentations to executive, partners and the CLIML board
Support the Product Development team to interpret and maintain detailed market insights and actionable interpretation on the competitive landscape across all business lines.
Support the AVP in the operational oversight function for Canada Life Investment Management Ltd. (CLIML)

What you will bring

5+ years of combined Reporting and Investment Fund Operations experience
Extensive knowledge both in the broad wealth management industry and specialized knowledge, understanding and working experience within the mutual funds.
University degree,_ preferably_ in Finance, or equivalent
Strategic thinker and business acumen
Depth of investment management and investment fund operational knowledge
Ability to understand and successfully navigate the mechanics of a heavily matrixed organization
Proven ability to build strong business relationships on all levels and empower teams
Results driven with a focus on industry and market trends
Highest ethical standards and risk management mindset. Ability to always comply with complex regulations and make decisions in areas of uncertainty
CFA, CIM, CAIA are assets
