We are seeking an
Accounting Clerk looking to bring their career to the next level while establishing themselves professionally within a supportive team of like-minded individuals.

This role will report to the Accounting Manager and working closely with the accounting team, along with several other internal departments and external service providers.


Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities will be split between the corporate division and the fund division (75% corporate and 25% fund).

  • Manage all payment transactions for both the corporate accounting and fund accounting divisions
  • Daily cheque preparation and/or deposit for both corporate and fund divisions
  • Set up all online EFT, wire and/or CAFT transactions
  • Review and process all payments to vendors
  • Review and process all employee reimbursements
  • Generate intercompany transactions through online banking
  • Set up new subscriptions, redemptions, and income distribution transactions for review and processing
  • Set up and monitor nonsufficient funds transactions
  • Set up monthly interest collection
  • Assist with bank and share reconciliations
  • Ensure records are accurate and handled efficiently to meet timelines.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Other responsibilities and projects, as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in highvolume accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly, accurately and with high attention to detail to meet tight timelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize, balance multiple tasks and highvolume workload in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong work ethics, accountability and demonstrated ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong problemsolving skills, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • CPA designation is an asset
