Painter (Full Time) - North Winnipeg - Edison Properties

Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint;
- Plan jobs and prepares for work in an efficient manner including:
- Preparation of the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic
- Moving furniture and obstacles as necessary
- Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers
- Taping off areas as needed
- Cleaning up supplies, putting furniture and fixtures back in place, cleanup of the area;
- Complete work orders as assigned through the Work Order system;
- Safely operate and maintain power tools;
- Monitor inventory of supplies/tools/equipment;
- May require time commitments outside normal hours of work to accomplish duties during periods of heavy work requirements.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- High School or equivalent;
- 2 years relevant working experience (asset) trade or journeyman level;
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and satisfactory driver's abstract;
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and clear Vulnerable Sector Search;
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl;
- Ability to stand or walk all day;
- Additional physical requirements will include frequent lifting and/or moving up to up 50 kilograms;
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to provide 3 references. At least 2 of the 3 references must be from previous supervisors at previous place(s) of employment.
