As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.

Position Summary:


The Administrative Assistant - COVID-19 Response for Vancouver Coastal Region provides a full range of administrative and program support services.


Responsibilities:


  • 2. Uses a variety of software including electronic mail, graphics and spread sheet and departmental information systems to produce and distribute information, to set up lists, prepare presentations, to input financial data and to maintain records and databases
  • 3. Arranges a wide variety of meetings, ensuring documentation and materials are available, and attending to assist or take minutes including summarizing information, highlights decisions, action items and commitments and distributes the record of minutes to participants
  • 4. Conducts review of documents, including financial records to ensure completeness and compliance with FNHA and regional policy, executive directives and procedures, and follows up with staff or First Nations community submit missing information or forwards difficult cases to Manager for follow up.
  • 5. Compiles and maintains address lists, telephone lists and distribution contact lists for contacts in provincial and federal ministries, health and wellness system partners, committee and working group members and other stakeholders 7. Maintains and orders office supplies, receives and verifies receipt of goods and ships as required, liaises with landlord/building manager to report deficiencies and obtain assistance
  • 8. Performs other related duties as assigned. A full job description is available upon request

Qualifications:


  • Education
  • Completion of high school education, and a one year course in administrative services, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience


  • Experience

  • Recent and related experience in providing administrative services (usually acquired over a period of 13 years)


  • Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of First Nations communities and issues as related to COVID19
