Job Profile:

We are looking for a co-op student with the Corporate Services Department, Technology Services Division.


What you will be doing:


Your tasks will include assisting our Technology Services team by responding to phone calls from our internal technology users and obtaining additional information required for our Support Technicians to provide effective and efficient customer service, and assisting with related technology services projects as assigned.

We have recently implemented an Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) System.

In this role, you will assist with building our resource library, form building, building our knowledge library, and informing our team of templates that would enhance our ITMS.

As part of the customer service experience, you will contact our internal clients after the service call is closed and confirm their satisfaction with the resolved issue.

This position is located at City Hall, 50 Dickson Street, Cambridge and is available from approximately May August 2023.


Education:


  • Actively pursuing a college diploma or university degree in Computer Science or Similar

Experience and Knowledge:


  • Experience and competency in using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Reader, and Internet Explorer.
  • Experience and competency using an ITMS would be an asset.

We will ask you for these items if you are hired:

  • Proof of current or future enrolment in post-secondary education.
Valid G driver's license.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)


Your compensation:


The hourly rate of pay, based on the inside workers union's co-op grid, has an hourly range of $ $23.51 per hour.


Hours of work:

Hours of work are from Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (35 hours per week)
