Description

GFL Environmental is looking for DZ licensed drivers for our location based out of Bowmanville. The hydro excavation crew is responsible for exposing underground utilities and backfilling / reinstating of various project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Vacuum/Hydrovac Truck.
Operate Box Truck or Tractor Trailer.
Power washing and High Pressure Water blasting as required.
Digging holes and trenches
Securing of open excavation
Operating equipment and tools
Site preparation and cleanup as directed
Securing and safely loading / unloading vehicles with supplies
Secure work area and set up traffic control
Line snaking, Drain and Pipe Inspections as required.
Operate Pickup truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc.
Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment and Industrial Services Shop.
Industrial cleaning of chemical nonhazardous and hazardous waste.
Collection of hazardous and nonhazardous goods.
Complete all necessary paperwork and government documents
Assist plant operations as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

Working hours anywhere from around 5:30 AM 6:30 PM Monday
Friday with oncall requirements once every few months on Saturday
Comfortable with 80% labour and 20% driving.
Valid AZ or DZ license.
Mechanical aptitude.
Strong work ethic.
Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs required.
Overtime as required.
