Job Duties

Greet customers promptly with a warm greeting and ensure to provide first class customer service at all times
Help contactors/ customers load and unload vehicles
Keep the yard, sheds, special order area in a clean and presentable appearance
Verify returned products by checking customer return slip, ensuring product is not damaged and product count is accurate
Support inventory control with accurate documentation and proper reporting of damaged product
Ensure all products leaving the yard have been invoiced and/or paid for
Ensure all product codes on merchandise are correct and up to date
Accompany Delivery Truck Drivers and assist with deliveries as required
Assist putting product away once received
Assist monitoring and replenishing merchandise from overstock as necessary
Maintain a safe working environment by informing Management of any concerns that come up
Perform other duties as assigned by Yard Supervisor

Requirements:

Lumber, yard and/or customer service experience in a related industry
Ability to operate a fork lift upon receipt of valid certification
Ability to operate a saw upon receipt of valid certification
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic mathematic skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work with mínimal supervision and/or with a Team

Work Conditions

Ability to lift from 50lb to 80lbs
Frequent standing, bending and lifting
Exposure to all weather conditions
Able to work days, evenings, and weekends
Able to work overtime as required
