CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions is seeking a Mechanist on a full-time permanent basis for the Vaughn location.

Responsibilities:
- Repair stamping dies, extrusion dies and roto molds
- Follow production schedule to perform die change over
- Regular maintenance of dies and molds
- Inventory management of spare parts for dies
- Maintain an organized and clean tooling storage area as per 6S
- Maintain work area in a clean state and free from obstructions
- Follow proper lockout procedures while performing on machines
- Utilize the Scissor & Fork lift truck to perform duties
- Use precision measuring instruments like micrometers and gauges to check the tool's dimensions
- Fabrication of fixtures and spare parts for tooling
- Ensure the Company's quality policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
- Promote safe work practices as outlined in the Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Strive for Zerotime lost accidents; pay special attention to all company safety SOP and equipment safety features
- Perform monthly fire extinguisher, fire hose and emergency light inspections
- Participate in training as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 25 years of Tool and Die Making experience
- 25 years of experience in operating lathe, mill, grinder, saws, drilling equipment, and TIG welding
- 25 years of experience in tooling inspection using applicable tools and measuring devices
- 12 years of experience in punch press and roto molding operations
- 12 years of experience operating a Scissor lift & Fork lift
- Valid Tool and Die Maker License
- Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints and knowledge of lockout procedures
- Knowledgeable in the structure, properties and characteristics of common materials used for the manufacture and repair of tooling, Molds, Dies and jigs and fixtures
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively
- Attention to detail, good communication and strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.

$25.00-$30.00 per hour
