About the Role

Reporting to a Field Operations Manager, the Field Operations Technician with Steelhaus Canada is responsible for the operation, maintenance and execution of assigned field operations and shop related duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Field-Based Tool Installation, Operation, Assembly and Repair_
Install, operate, assemble, or repair tools to meet customer requirements and accurate use of Steelhaus/Schlumberger tools following all approved design and safety guidelines.
Follow all QAQC requirements
Complete functional testing of Steelhaus/Schlumberger tools in the field ensuring site specific factors are considered in the operation of Steelhaus/Schlumberger products
Work closely with the Field Operations Manager to provide feedback with the intent to improve reliability and durability of Steelhaus tools
Provide product enhancement or new product ideas based on field experience
Inventory Control and Management_
Ensure the accurate and timely inventory and control of Steelhaus/Schlumberger rental tools to ensure accuracy of inventory levels
Track tool usage and report on Steelhaus/Schlumberger field rental tools
Provide accurate Field Tickets to reflect redress and replacement of field used tools
Health and Safety_
Ensure the safety of oneself and all services in relation to field operations and procedures
Complete safety meeting per shift (on customer site)
Discuss relevant concerns during (on customer site) start of shift safety meetings or operational change meetings
Preuse inspection of all equipment
Hazard or incident reporting

Experience and Qualifications

Relevant experience including intermediate to advanced knowledge required in one field service line, completions or multi stage fracturing
Coil operations knowledge would be an asset
Frac operations knowledge would be an asset
Service rig operations basic knowledge
Valid class 5 driver's license
Basic computer skills (MS Office)
Skilled in the use of basic hand tools
Strong communication / people skills / professional behavior
Strong understanding of relevant math skills
