Your role
- If you're newshungry, social media savvy and a good digital storyteller with outstanding writing, editing and research skills and a flair for finding the perfect guest — then this is the job for you.
- Radio-Canada Toronto is looking for an Associate Producer to work on the radio morning show
- You will be assigned to gather and write program material for all our media platforms. You will participate in the production, direction and/or postproduction of the morning show and/or program segments.
- Please note the regular work schedule of this permanent fulltime position is Sunday to Thursday.
Your key tasks:
- Contribute ideas for program content; participate in the preparation of program objectives.
- Organize the participation of interviewees, creative contributors and other participants, develop background, introduction and line of questioning, conduct or arrange for any necessary research and ensure the briefing of hosts. Maintain contact files.
- Assist in developing program content, including writing, researching and/or editing. Prepare interview outlines; ensure adherence to the style and format of the program.
- Draft and post online articles related to the show.
- Promote program content on social media.
- Participate in the evaluation of all aspects of the production.
As required, perform the following duties:
- Music selection.-
- Production of various components of the show.-
- Sourcing studios, crews, lines, and other technical and production resources required by the program on behalf of all producers and freelancers.-
- Assign, direct and coordinating the work of other personnel working on a project for which the Producer is responsible.-
- Mixing and editing, or direct the editing and mixing, of audio and/or visual elements.
