And our team is growing Cambium is looking for a
Geotechnical EIT to support the Geotechnical team.

Conducting field work including, borehole drilling, test pitting, soil classification and insitu testing, independent field reviews of various stages of civil construction, sampling of media, observing and monitoring work practices on construction and development projects, surveys and assessments, and supporting intrusive investigations.
Environmental soil and groundwater sampling.
Environmental monitoring at construction sites.
Provide support to the construction inspection team, which may include granular compaction testing using nuclear density gauge, testing and monitoring placement of concrete, compaction testing and placement monitoring of asphalt, aggregate and material sampling at job sites.
Technical interpretation of specifications and drawings.
Filing and management of all project related field notes including some data entry and assistance with report and proposal preparation and writing.
Collection of field data, including interviewing of third parties, and compilation of field notes, and photographs.
Analysis of data and preparation of technical reports, work plans, and project specifications.
Coordinate and liaison with contractors, and vendors.
Responsible for personal health and safety.
Field work, shiftwork, overtime and travel may be required in all seasons.
Complete other duties as necessary.

Job Requirements:

Degree or diploma from a college or university Geotechnical/Civil Engineering program
Minimum 1 year of employment experience (preferably in consulting or a combination of sectors)
Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
