General Duties:


  • Consulting with departments in regard to operational requirements and other goals and objectives to ensure all work is in accordance with hospital standards, policies and procedures;
  • Organize, manage and document all user group engagement, planning, followup, signoffs and evaluation;
  • Ensures all stakeholders, including support functions are included in the planning of projects such as Infection Prevention and Control, IT, Parking, Security, etc.
  • Development and maintenance of tools and techniques for reporting and tracking.
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals on a wide variety of topics suitable for internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Consulting with and supporting departments in regard to cost estimation for Facilities capital improvements, including Hospital Infrastructure (HIRF) funded Projects
  • Performs crossfunctional duties as assigned and/or requested; performing other duties consistent with the job classification as required

Skills & Experience:


  • Knowledge of and experience with hospital operations and environments;
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills;
  • Experience planning, managing and implementing healthcare capital renovation projects, including program planning;
  • Knowledge of legislation, codes and policies regarding design and implementation for people with disabilities;
  • Knowledge of legislation, codes and policies regarding infection prevention and controls regarding healthcare construction and renovations;
  • Experience and familiarity with a variety of furniture systems in a healthcare environment is an asset.

Qualifications:


  • University or College degree, preferably in Architecture, Design or Business. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Project Management Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in planning, renovation or construction in a health care environment would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of capital budget, facility design and construction processes and familiarity with health care delivery systems is considered an asset.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior problemsolving skills
  • Strong planning and analytical skills
  • Able to work effectively independently and with a team
