The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for an
Administrative Assistant. The administrative assistant is responsible for administrative duties related to Policy & Practice. These duties primarily include clerical duties, record keeping, minute taking, and data entry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Compiles and organizes department data collection systems, statistics, files, and resource materials.
  • Research and source best practices and templates.
  • Support organizing staff training logistics and materials.
  • Performs clerical functions including photocopying and faxing.
  • Inventory occupational health and safety supplies.
  • Assists in the planning and facilitation of health and safety campaigns and events.
  • Participates as a positive and cooperative team member, attends meetings and participates in Society committees and events as required and /or directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to Policies and Procedures and Personnel Policies, Procedures and Practices of the Society.
  • Excellent computer and Internet skills (advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel and other databases)
  • Competency with office equipment, procedures and business communications.
  • Professional telephone manners and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team, have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Cross cultural competency.
  • An additional language other than English is an asset.

A Criminal Record Check is a requirement of employment.- Strong written and spoken English communication skills;

  • Types and edits department correspondence including reports and other documents.
