What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:

  • support the delivery and implementation of the ministry's incentive and granting and education programs in accordance with provincial policy and standards;
- ensure that clients receive the necessary information to understand the program's eligibility requirements and focus on land and resource stewardship and sustainability.


How do I qualify?:


Interpersonal and communication skills:


  • You have the demonstrated ability to respond effectively to inquiries from staff, clients, service providers and stakeholders.
  • You have the proven ability to use tact and diplomacy to effectively manage client complaints, resolve issues and defuse potentially contentious situations when working with internal and external stakeholders and irate clients.
  • You have the ability to communicate program standards and requirements to participants, partners and other stakeholders.
  • You have the ability to draft materials such as correspondence, education materials and reports that effectively describe findings and facilitate understanding of complex materials to nontechnical recipients.

Analytical, organizational and judgment skills:


  • You have the ability to analyze background information, recommend options and provide sound input and advice.
  • You have the ability to maintain accurate and organized records and ensure the quality and integrity of data and databases.
  • You have the ability to coordinate workshops and examinations and manage information.
  • You can take initiative and work independently.

Technical knowledge and skills:


  • You have an understanding of natural resource management and ecological principles and practices associated with responsible land stewardship, education and sustainable resource management.
  • You have general knowledge of the intent and objectives of the ministry's tax incentive programs, granting programs, wildlife management programs and education programs.
  • You have general knowledge of Geographical Information Systems and online mapping tools.
