Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Propane Area Manager on a permanent basis for our propane team in Edmonton, AB.


What you'll do:


  • Direct the operations, safety, and sales of our propane business in Northern Alberta through effective communication on branch goals and proper tracking.
  • Remain wellversed in propane market trends and actively search for sustainable growth opportunities in an increasingly competitive market.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and the community to foster ongoing success, service, and a positive image.
  • Ensure the region is adhering to all industry regulations and safety requirements.
  • Employ financial and business acumen through creating and maintaining the region budget and analyzing region results on a monthly basis.
  • Provide positive and engaging leadership to the branch and support HR activities such as training, performance management, recruitment, etc.

Who you'll work with:


The Team:

You will have the Service Department Supervisor reporting into you and will oversee their leadership of the Propane Service Technicians and Drivers in the region.

This team strives to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and exceptional service.


The Customers:
You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting the Northern Alberta region's rural, commercial, and residential propane customers.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in management and:

  • Have 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in the Energy Service Industry. Experience in management/supervisory roles is required and experience in the propane industry is preferred.
  • Ideally, have some form of postsecondary education (e.g., certificate, diploma, or degree).
  • Are skilled in communication, conflict management, and continuous improvement.
