Description
Reporting to the Supervisor, Facilities & Property, this position performs all aspects of work

related to the day-to-day operations, including winter and summer maintenance of municipal

buildings and facilities under the jurisdiction of the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department. This position will predominantly work in facilities located in Tottenham.


Responsibilities:


Maintain the multi-plex spaces and other Town owned facilities through minor repairs, painting, snow removal at entrances, opening and closing of facilities, disinfecting and general cleaning.

Participate in Arena Ice Making and Maintenance of Ice Surfaces.

Perform pool operations duties including opening and winterization, chemical balancing,

cleaning and maintains records according to health legislation.

Oversee facilities when rented providing service to the public who have rented it.

Perform maintenance checks on any mobile equipment. Keep all equipment clean and in

good working order.


Qualifications:

Requires Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)

Requires ORFA Basic Refrigeration or equivalent

Requires ORFA Certified Pool Operator or equivalent

Requires a G Class driver's licence, and ability to provide a satisfactory driver's abstract

Requires Standard First Aid with CPR-C

Ability to provide a clean Vulnerable Sector Check

Requires at least 2 years' experience in a similar position


Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, legible handwriting and ability to communicate with the public in a polite and diplomatic manner.


Salary:
$54, $68,286.40, plus employer paid benefits and OMERS pension plan


Hours: 40 hours per week
