(LPN) Detox NurseReports To
Director
Nurse Lead
Summary
The Detox Nurse is responsible for planning nursing care in an assigned area as required by individualized client needs and according to dependent and independent nursing functions while adhering to recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standard based in the scope of practice, under the direction of the Director & Medical Doctors.
Requirements:
- Active licensure with appropriate provincial licensing body.
- Provision of a clear vulnerable sector criminal record check.
- Must demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions when clarification is needed
- High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning and discretion.
- Must be able to depended upon to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion.
- Must be able to demonstrate reliability by arriving to work on time and taking breaks in expected time frames.
- Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
- May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to HIV and Hepatitis B or C viruses.
- Interacts with residents, family members, staff, visitors and government agencies.
- Travel may be required.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.
- Ability to manage behaviorally complex individuals.
- Ability to understand a myriad of mental health concerns.
Full time hours 12 hours shifts 4 days on 4 days off
Proof of Covid vaccination is not required
Job Types:

Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour
