Description

The Project Manager in the Corporate and Continuing Education (CCE) department at NAIT occupies a crucial role focused on the management of grant funding processes and comprehensive project management tasks.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of CCE, this role is instrumental in ensuring the effective, efficient execution and meticulous reporting of various projects.


Key Accountabilities:


Beyond grant management, the Project Manager is also tasked with the orchestration, execution, and completion of diverse projects within the department.

Responsibilities include the delineation of project scope, objectives, and expected outcomes in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

The role involves the creation of detailed project plans and the coordination of both internal team members and external consultants or contractors, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects.

This role is important in advancing NAIT's strategic objectives within the CCE.

The Project Manager's expertise in managing grant funding and steering project directions is key to ensuring that NAIT continues to deliver superior, relevant educational programs and sustains its status as a leader in technical training and applied education.

The accomplishments in this role significantly contribute to NAIT's overarching mission to provide exceptional continuing education and research, tailored to meet the demands of the industry and community.

Project Planning and Execution (30%): Take charge of the entire project lifecycle. This involves defining the project scope, objectives, and expected results in partnership with senior management and stakeholders, as well as crafting comprehensive project plans and communication strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement (15%): Actively collaborate with both internal and external parties, including instructors, administrative staff, industry partners, and funding bodies. Ensure continuous, transparent communication, keeping all stakeholders well-informed about project developments and results.

Budget Management and Reporting (10%): Work closely with the CCE and NAIT finance teams to manage the financial aspects of projects. This includes preparing and overseeing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and delivering regular financial updates to senior management, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.

Continuous Improvement and Strategic Contribution (5%): Play a role in enhancing project management processes within CCE. Offer strategic insights aimed at boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of project implementation, ensuring alignment with NAIT's broader institutional goals.


Skills & Abilities:


  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of effectively leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to create and foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Operating Accounting principles related to financials.

Qualifications:


  • Related bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years related, progressive experience including supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop highperforming teams.
  • High level of initiative, independence, and strategic thinking to drive program success.

Remuneration:
$72, $96,198.96 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
