As an integral part of the production team at Shaw Resources, the
Quality Assurance Technician will be a leader who has the capability to ensure our team processes products to our highest standards.


  • Perform inspections across all stages of production and conducts lab testing for incoming raw materials and manufactured goods so that they are safe to use and meet or exceed acceptable tolerances.
  • Perform daily line audit to proactively help correct defects and look for root cause corrective actions, walk through the 5Y and look at trends.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with mínimal wasted time and materials.
  • Data entry and filling out of quality documentation.
  • Monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Calibration of testing equipment.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:

  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Midlevel computer skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different software programs for quality entry and tracking.
  • Experience with laboratory testing equipment.
  • High attentiveness to detail.
  • Ability to work both independent and within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
