Job Description:

The Economics department is seeking an instructor to teach ECON 1221- Principles of macroeconomics in the Fall 2023 semester (September to December).

The work is for a double section of 80 students. Course schedule is Monday and Wednesday, from 8:30am to 10:30am (plus regular office hours). The course is fully in-person.

Required Qualifications:

PhD in Economics or Master's degree in Economics (minimum requirement)
Demonstrated postsecondary teaching experience
Demonstrated mastery of the relevant curriculum
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to work with culturally diverse group of students

General

Responsibilities:

Not all applicants will be selected for the interviews. Applicants who will be invited to an interview will be notified by the end of June.
Interviews will occur on Friday July 7 between 10:30am and 2pm.

Salary Range:
Salary placement is on Langara instructors' salary scale in accordance with qualifications and experience.
