Thanks to our on-going marketplace research, AWD products can be custom-designed to meet supplied specifications on a per project basis.

thermal aluminum windows and window wall systems, swing doors, sliding balcony doors, and steel insulated aluminum framed doors, the Euro Door, aluminum glass balcony doors, sliding, awning and casement windows.

This role will allow you to utilize your skills, experience and knowledge.
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned
- Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of company facilities and equipment
- Perform skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment; test and replace circuits; coordinate emergency repairs and large complex projects; troubleshoot and correct defective switches, receptacles, and other wiring; perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
- Responsible for alerting the Human Resources dept. of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, Provincial and Federal guidelines
- Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner
- Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee handbook
- Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
- Four years experience in one or more of the skilled trades
- Knowledge of appropriate health and safety precautions and procedures
- Knowledge of Technical aspects of field of specialty
- Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, methods and techniques used in skilled and general maintenance and repair involving at least one of the following: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, welding or mechanical maintenance
- Ability to operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment to effectively and safely
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to work independently with little direction
- Ability to meet schedules and time lines
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Willing to travel to other AWD sites within a 12km distance
