• Forged user-friendly, web-based module, that enabled end-users to customize and produce reports from new database.

Assigned to oversee IT projects for clients across variety of market sectors. Recognized as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Pentaho, led training and knowledge management efforts.

Client A: Steel Factory

Established new Linux server, introduced Pentaho reporting system and Postgres database. Optimized table layout for reporting efficacy. Designed 6 customizable data reports and offered server maintenance plus database and reporting system support throughout 
3-year contract.

• Developed, and implemented new reporting system within 8 person-month.
• Transferred 50 tables and more than 20 years of data over from Oracle database to new Postgres solution.
• Saved 30 hours’ worth of weekly labor and enabled build of over 30 customizable data reports each week, by delivering Pentaho training to client engineers.

Client B: Fishery

Created and rolled out new data entry system within 5 person-month. Built Windows server and set up 5 iPads to remotely operate system utilizing i-Reporter, Postgres, and Pentaho. Automated legacy Excel and paper systems, to enhance data collation and facilitate automatic calculations within existing sales management system.

• Offered technical support and executed system maintenance over 4-year contract.
• Realized 70% printing cost savings and 45 hours of labor each week.

Client C: Heavy Machinery Rental

Transformed existing supply management web system, providing over 100 staff with access to user-friendly desktop and mobile UI solution. Built new Linux server and 3 Windows clients, utilizing Postgres, Ruby on Rails, and network settings. Converted and transferred 5-years’ worth of Excel data, leveraging Pentaho Data Integration to Postgres.

• Completed project within 20+ person-month.
• Delivered 2 years of technical support and system maintenance.

Attained 99% customer satisfaction rating.
