Responsibilities: *Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns promptly and courteously. *Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, entering prescription information, competent interpretation and processing of written prescriptions including Latin abbreviations, drug name recognition, dosage calculations, refills, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining patient profiles; assessing the prescription for completeness (i.e. name, address, birthday, allergies, prescription third party information, any special requests, prescriber, generic/Brand). *Assist in managing and maintaining pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and rotating medications and OTC products. *Prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring proper measurement, packaging, labeling, documentation and selection of appropriate products as per prescription, perform accurate checks including visual and DIN. *Support pharmacy operations by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and maintaining records in compliance with regulations and policies. *Process prescription billing and insurance claims accurately, verifying coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, and resolving billing issues. *Provide basic medication information to customers and assist in counseling patients on medication usage and administration. *Adhere to health and safety protocols, handle medications and hazardous substances appropriately, and maintain a clean and organized work area. *Stay updated with pharmacy regulations, practices, and product knowledge through continuous learning and professional development. *Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, technicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth workflow and contribute to a positive team environment.
