(St. Boniface Hospital is Manitoba's second largest hospital. The hospital buildings cover about 120,774 m2 (1,300,000 sq ft).
Construction of a new state-of-the-art emergency department for St. Boniface General Hospital. Responsible for managing multiple projects from inception to completion, with a significant on-site presence / management during the construction phase.
Emergency Department Construction Project – Winnipeg, Canada – $156m
• Worked with the Director to develop and execute project plans for multiple/simultaneous small-scale construction, redevelopment, and program development projects for the hospitals. Collaborated with multiple hospital staff, external consultants, and contractors to coordinate and schedule the completion of project work including but not limited to staging of construction work, closure of areas within the hospital and shutdowns of utilities. Provided project management leadership to staff, including the development and use of standard communication and reporting tools and processes for key stakeholders. Interfaced co-operatively with the maintenance teams to ensure that facility standards are being met, training is properly coordinated, and warranties are appropriately managed.
