Alice Peddle

I am passionate about working with people to create change and promote healthy living. My greatest strengths include my dedication, organizational skills and strong work ethic. I have been a teacher for 32 years and understand the need for a positive partnership between the schools, families, and health services. My involvement in special projects within the educational system has provided me with opportunities to facilitate the development and sharing of strategies and ideas to make a difference.

As a dedicated educator, I am confident in my leadership abilities and have consistently supported staff in implementing various programs to meet learning outcomes. My experience includes developing partnerships and building relationships to create a positive impact. My ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups, develop and deliver engaging educational initiatives, and foster collaboration among educators, students, and community professionals are among my core strengths.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating and delivering presentations for a variety of audiences and have been instrumental in promoting the use of the latest technology. My role as a lifelong learner has fueled my passion for helping others, particularly in making a difference in the lives of residents in our Labrador communities. I have used my excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate with students and community leaders to address critical issues and sought meaningful change through large, deep learning projects on such topics as Diversity and Inclusion, Seniors Living, and Protecting our Environment. I have been asked to present these projects at the provincial level on numerous occasions.

One of my key strengths is my organizational skills, which has allowed me to manage time efficiently, stay creative, and maintain a strong work ethic. I am highly committed and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. I am confident that my experience in creating and implementing successful programs through planning, assessment, and evaluation will greatly benefit the health and well-being of the people of Labrador.

I have a Bachelor of Education Degree, a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and have completed Masters of Education courses in Literacy and Learning Resources.
