About me:

I am a professor of Mathematics/Statistics. I am a Canadian citizen who was born in Egypt. I was educated in Egypt (where I earned my undergraduate and master degrees in Mathematics) and Poland (where I received my PhD in Mathematical Statistics). I worked in different universities in Middle East (Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain)  and in Canada.  I love my work and being among students and colleagues to discuss different topics academic and non-academic.

Education:

I have a PhD in mathematical statistics from Institute of Mathematics, Gdansk University, Poland. The main goal of my thesis was on how to apply mathematical models in real life problems that are related to industrial/electrical engineering and environmental sciences.

Experience:

I have extensive experiences in teaching different courses in mathematics/probability/statistics/actuarial science. I am active in research. I have great experience in e-learning teaching strategies. I supervised PhD and Masters students.  Working in different international universities provides me with a great experience to work in multicultural academic environment, and allows me to understand the needs of diverse students, including those of special needs. I am also active in administrative work at the department and college and levels.
