Carissa Morrissey

Through a combination of work, volunteer, and personal experience I have developed a diverse skill set. I have played many roles including as a customer service representative, community league board member and secretary, peer counselor and crisis line operator, dental assistant and receptionist, child caregiver and respite provider for children with different abilities.

My journey as a dedicated parent has distilled invaluable qualities such as patience, adaptability, and organizational skills, all of which are transferable to the workplace. In my role as a customer service representative, I provided exemplary service ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, I have gained hands-on experience as a dental assistant, where I acquired essential clinical skills and knowledge. I assisted dentists during procedures, prepared patients for treatment, and maintained sterilization protocols. I also performed reception duties, maintained diagnostic records while creating positive relationships with patients and coworkers.  

My role as a peer counselor and crisis line operator has allowed me to develop exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to problem-solving. I have provided emotional support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges, fostering an environment of trust and empathy. This experience has enhanced my ability to connect with others on a meaningful level and navigate sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
