Chelaina Prasad

My name is Chelaina Prasad and I am 30 years old. I have a 6 year old daughter and we love crafting. I am passionate about my career and providing the best service I can to not only my residents but my team. I believe on trust and respect to all. Over the last 2 years I have manage 5 apartment buildings and 1 trailer park community. I have a team of 2 cleaners, 2 maintenance personal, and 2 leasing specialist. We all work together to ensure we are giving our best to each other and our residents. 

Capreit Limited Partnership: My professional experience with Capreit Limited Partnership started with myself being a part-time leasing agent for a trailer park community. Within a month of working for the company I grew to a full-time leasing agent for both Residential Apartments (5 buildings) and the trailer park community. Within 6 months of working for Capreit, I was promoted to Associate Property Manager. My responsibility as Associate Property Manager is to maintain a well-balance work schedule for my team and vendors, being proficient with SAP leasing system, enter in purchase requisition for payment to vendors, tenant relation, quarterly fire drills, monthly fire safety inspections with First Response, AR and Vacancy Reports weekly, RFR and RFU report each done monthly, creating a schedule for suite turnovers for example painting, cleaning, and any additional items to ensure the unit is rent ready. I also conduct weekly walk-throughs of all buildings to create a list of any defiencies that need to be corrected for tenant satisfaction, safety, and to assist with building maintenance.

I have also had a great deal of experience with crisis management with flood and fire and what the proper protocol would be. 

UBC Sauder - I have completed all assignments in the Real Estate Propety Management Program and am scheduled for the final exam in August 2024.
