Daniel Young

I have migrated to Canada from the UK on a 2 year working visa. I’ve had the opportunity to work in many different fields over the past 10 years, and gained many skills in each different work environment which I have been able to take with me in each placement. Whether it’s performing on the West End, designing escape rooms or customer service work. Creativity is where I thrive in all surroundings and I enjoy bringing that element whatever I am working on. I am a lively, enthusiastic personality who thrives off working in a group setting and individually.  I like to give 100% to whatever I am doing, as well as being efficient, I can get to grips with new systems rapidly. I am a very hard worker and I feel my skills in performing have helped me become greatly skilled in communicating and helping others with a polite attitude. I bring a positive atmosphere where ever I am and I am always keen to be try new things. I am really excited to be in Canada for the next two years and seeing what exciting career opportunities that can bring.

I have worked in a variety of different spaces of creativity from performance to design. My most recent work over the past two years has primarily been in escape room design and development. My role included overseeing all new development and creative additions to each of the rooms. I was also in charge of sourcing all props and decorative items needed for each of the projects and working within budget. In my time in this role I have worked on 5 development projects and designed and project managed 3 full builds, setting and monitoring the building schedule and managing the team. In addition to this I also had responsibilities with daily running of the escape rooms. Dealing with customer care/support/complaints and staff management. 
I also have been working on a project called Vault Run. 
This project requires an intense level of research and travel. I‘ve been responsible for condensing all of the research we had compiled to further the project design. I‘ve had to use my skills with ProCreate to show concept sketches and ideas and pitch them to the senior management. Liaising with all departments and trades people to ensure the overall project was running  on time.
