About David Williams:

I have spent 35-plus years in the transportation industry, and as a result, I have extensive experience, knowledge, and understanding of Transport Canada and MTO regulations. I am a safety-first-driven person. I have also worked in sales and marketing. I have strong computer skills, working with several Microsoft operating systems, Linux, and AS400, as well as many Dispatch software applications, sales and marketing systems, and accounting systems. 
I have a strong understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a team environment. I have been and will continue to work every day with confidential information. I am reliable and consistent in all tasks assigned, and I am always examining ways to improve myself and those around me. Having said all the above, I feel I have the qualifications to do an effective job as your Operations Manager. I am a mature individual with many years of management experience and am able to deal very well with coworkers, the public, and clients. 
Throughout my years in transportation, I have developed my skills and knowledge by working first as a driver. I have managed large and small fleets, I have been responsible for multi-million dollar accounts while in sales, I have supervised dispatchers and drivers, and I have fostered strong working relationships by examining issues from all perspectives and understanding. I am very aware of client and company requirements and will always look for the best options to resolve issues, and when needed, I will always reach out for guidance. I understand everyone faces different stresses in their respective jobs, and I can provide guidance using the experience I have acquired.  I have a very hands-on style of management and keep an open door to address any issues that come up and look to my team to work together to solve them and make sure the service levels are maintained and within budget. I have a strong sense of the urgency required to get the job done, always promoting safety first and then completion. 
I am familiar with many operating systems and dispatch software, and I am very strong in MS Office programs, AS400, email, text messaging, WhatsApp, and many others. I can prepare both complex and simple action plans to help operations work seamlessly, and customer’s needs are always a top priority.
