Elijah Gour

Hello, my name is Elijah Gour. I am currently a student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at the Schulich School of Engineering in Calgary. As a passionate learner in the field of engineering, I am enthusiastic about exploring the vast possibilities that electrical engineering offers. During my first year at Schulich, I have been exposed to a wide range of foundational knowledge and practical skills that have laid a strong foundation for my engineering journey. I have gained valuable experience working with Arduino, an open-source electronics platform, and have successfully completed several Arduino projects. These projects have allowed me to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, honing my problem-solving abilities and fostering creativity in designing innovative solutions.

In terms of my professional experience, I have worked at McDonald's where I gained valuable skills and experience in customer service, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. My role involved providing excellent customer service, accurately taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring customer satisfaction. I was also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, following food safety regulations, and stocking inventory items.

In addition to my professional experience, I have volunteered for City of Calgary summer camp activities. Through this volunteer work, I had the opportunity to contribute to the community and engage with children in a camp setting. I assisted with organizing and facilitating various camp activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the participants, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
