Gabriella Krystia

I am a dedicated Social Worker (BSW, OCSWSSW member) with experience in both private practice and community outreach across Windsor-Essex. My work spans therapeutic support for children, youth, and adults, as well as case management and advocacy for marginalized populations. I bring a strong foundation in CBT-based interventions, rapport-building with diverse clients, and program development for trauma and grief support, including founding a peer bereavement group for teens. Currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University, I am committed to advancing evidence-based mental health services that are accessible, equitable, and responsive to community needs. My long-term career focus is on expanding children’s and youth mental health supports, with a particular emphasis on grief, sibling loss, and trauma-informed care.

I am a BSW-level Social Worker with diverse experience in private practice, community outreach, and case management across Windsor-Essex. My work includes providing therapy to children, youth, and adults using CBT-based and play-based approaches, with a focus on trauma, grief, and self-esteem. Through my outreach role at the Welcome Centre’s CLOE project, I supported newcomers and marginalized families with resource navigation, advocacy, and crisis intervention. I have also developed and facilitated youth-focused programming, including a bereavement support group for teens. My practice emphasizes rapport-building, trauma-informed care, and accessible, client-centered supports. Currently advancing my training through a Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University, I remain committed to strengthening children’s and youth mental health services and expanding equitable access to care.

Currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW), Advanced Standing at Wilfrid Laurier University (Online), beginning September 2025. This program builds on my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and ongoing professional practice, with a focus on advanced clinical skills, research-informed practice, and leadership in community mental health. Complementing my graduate studies, I have also completed specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including courses in CBT, to strengthen my therapeutic skill set in private practice.
