About Gabrielle de Barry:
I'm a dedicated and versatile creative professional, driven by a passion for designing, developing, and maintaining exceptional apparel line-ups. With a knack for fostering transparent communication and collaboration, I've successfully achieved shared objectives with my colleagues.
Experience
My journey in the film industry began with IATSE891 in 2015, where I embarked on a role as a Costumer. Over the years, I've evolved from a skilled Seamstress and On-Set Supervisor to an accomplished Assistant Costume Designer. In the dynamic and fast-paced world of film, I've played a pivotal role in various aspects of costume design, construction, and execution, contributing to the captivating visual narratives that cinema brings to life.
Before my foray into film, I was a key player at SAIPEM Canada INC. from 2012 to 2015. As a Liquidated Damages Officer, I adeptly managed claims and back-charge claims, showcasing my meticulous attention to detail. In the capacity of a Procurement Project Assistant, I excelled in establishing productive vendor relationships and facilitating effective communication. Additionally, my role as a Project Management Assistant highlighted my dedication to supporting project initiatives and streamlining administrative operations.
Education
My academic foundation includes a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising from the Art Institute of Vancouver in 2008. To enhance my skill set, I've also pursued various certificates from Joan Lovett Studios, covering topics such as Dye and Colour, Basics of Teaching for Camera, and Breakdown.
