My career started in 2001 as an application and data services Developer on projects like Simply Accounting, the Calgary International Airport and various ministries in the provincial government. Eventually I transitioned to more ‘business-technical’ roles such as Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Management Consulting in healthcare, finance, oil and gas, and utility organizations.

I specifically enjoy projects that really make a difference to organizations –where I can leverage my technical (data) and process experience to help move the organization and its people forward.

For me, project success looks like this:

  1. Working with decision-makers to help clarify the vision, direction, and stakeholder alignment
  2. Keeping all parties informed, ensuring the best for the project team and stakeholders involved
  3. Closely monitoring to ensure that all needs (business, technical, and leadership) are identified, planned, and unobstructed
  4. Ensuring that the organizations are ready to receive and use those outcomes
