- Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, VM-ware, Virtual Machine
- Adhere to all Information Systems policies and procedures
- Evaluates and/or recommends purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software; provides technical consulting services to department/organization regarding use of computers and networks to satisfy business needs.
- Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Troubleshoots IT equipment such as handheld scanners, label printers, laser printers, inkjet printers and Networking equipment.
- Set up New Employee setup on Laptop. individual users’ computers on a network. Set up multiple peripheral devices.
- Break-fix and Warranty repair coordination of Hardware including Laptops, Thin clients, Pro-desks and Desktop
- Installation of MIST AP’s and doing Ekahau survey’s.
- Experience of Network Cabling.
Approximate rate: CAD$ 40 per hour
Experience
- Providing Onsite Field Support for various customers in the region of Montreal and Ottawa.
- Installation and commissioning of different Cisco Routers & Switches.
- Installation and commissioning of Palo Alto and FortiGate Firewalls.
- Working on Service now for incident tickets.
- Remote desktop services to Support team.
- Verifies user/workstation data backup and restore.
- Co-ordinate with Support team for the new connectivity and cutovers.
- De commissioning of Equipment.
- Prepare work report after each activity performed.
- Installation of MIST AP’s and doing Ekahau survey’s
- Installation, termination and testing of single mode and multi- mode fiber such as Mechanical termination & fusion splicing
- Installation and testing of network and voice cabling (Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6a).
- Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation & completion of work assignments.
- Install, remove, maintain & repair aerial & underground telephone & other telecommunication transmission lines.
- Operate computerized testing systems (Fluke DX1800, OTDR) on lines and equipment, determine the nature, cause and location of failures.
- Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software.
- Maintains end user CISCO phones
- Inspect and test telecommunication transmission lines and cables for transmission characteristics and to locate faults
- On site installations and service work for CATV, Digital, Internet and Home Phone services on behalf of the Company’s Cable Communications Business Partner and ensures all the work is completed to standards.
- Assess work assignments (Installations and Service) provided by the dispatch, and maintain communication with Dispatcher and supervisor in regards to the solution provided.
- Install and test telecommunication equipment such as internet modems, phone modems, high definition and standard TV boxes, decoders, signal amplifiers and splitters etc.
- Diagnose and/or correct all technical problems (Basic, Hi-Speed Internet, DTV and Home Phone) to the satisfaction of the customer and in accordance with company specifications at subscriber's premises.
- Install Cable Television services and products in accordance with established Installation Standards.
- Complete Company documentation pertaining to calls in accordance with the department processes and standards.
- Complete all service change requests in a timely professional manner.
- Fiber optic installations.
- Complete all assigned projects within established time parameters and standards.
