Hello!👋 I'm Hillary and i'm so happy to meet you! 

I am a recent Graduate from the University of Waterloo, graduating with a Bachelor's of Global Business and Digital Arts.👩🏽‍🎓

I'm still learning how to do a lot of things, but I mainly find my joy and my spark in all things design and technology related. Being a designer, I find that every project I've ever worked on are all different although they may seem the same. I love learning new things and I've learned that in design. 💻

I love getting to know new people and making others happy using my skills and my talents. I am currently the Lead Product Designer at Garde-Robe, a remote social e-commerce start-up located in New York, NY!

With two years of experience as a User Experience Design Manager (4.5 years of UX total), I am confident that I possess the necessary skills for this role. I have extensive knowledge of Adobe Cloud Suite, Figma, JavaScript, HTML, and Social Media Design, which make me a suitable candidate for the job.

During my tenure as a Product Design Lead at Garde-Robe, where I worked remotely, I gained valuable insights into the field of User Experience Design. This experience allowed me to enhance my skills in Sketch, InVision, and Figma. It also honed my time management abilities and provided me with ample opportunities to explore and research various User Experience and User Interface methodologies. In a previous role as a Social Media Coordinator, I successfully managed scheduling, posting, and monitoring metrics on platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.

While pursuing my Bachelor's of Honour's Global Business and Digital Arts (B.GBDA) at the University of Waterloo, I acquired foundational knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. This academic journey enabled me to effectively collaborate in project teams and foster an inclusive environment. My Bachelor's degree further pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and dive into projects with limited knowledge, thereby enhancing my skills in applications like Adobe Audition, Adobe XD, and prototype app designs.

With traditional ways of conducting business disappearing, the Global Business and Digital Arts program aims to educate and train students towards the innovative future of digital media and its role in global business. Developing a hybrid of unique skills by experiencing the latest technologies and business processes, as well as developing digital design skills, students are prepared to become mindful leaders who can meet the challenges of a global digital culture
