About Ian White:
I am a 2017 graduate of the University of Victoria faculty of law. I have strong research, adjudicative and communication skills. I am a natural problem solver and I'm always looking for the next challenge.
Experience
I am currently employed as a Provincial Offences Clerk at the City of Guelph. My duties include daily, monthly and annual financial reconcilliation tasks. I apply forensic accounting to determine errors or missing payments. I am also in charge of processing and adjudicating requests for fine extensions.
Before that I worked as a Court & Client Representative at the John Sopinka Courthouse in Hamilton, ON. My duties included running the practical and technological aspects of court. I was also in charge of fielding requests from members of the public and judicial stakeholders. I was frequently working with members of the public to provide legal information and ensure compliance with all procedural, legislative and regulatory requirements.
Between these 2 positions, I have nearly 3 years of experience providing customer service in a legal setting and ajudicating matters that involved complex legal and regulatory frameworks.
Education
I received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law in 2017
I received family mediation training at Grebel University in 2022
