Jair Castillo

I am a creative and passionate individual that focuses on  identifying innovative approaches towards fashion design. I always approach design with an analytical eye  and pay close  attention to detail. I am skilled in pattern making, drafting, and garment construction. I have advanced research skills to gather information for a collection and present my creative processes through detailed sketched images. In addition, I am able to implement screen printing techniques in my designs and fabric manipulation. I also possess the skills required to utilize CAD and understand how to create a tech pack for designs in a themed collection.

I am a graduate of Seneca College (Canada) with a three-year advanced diploma in Fashion Arts and a recent graduate from the University of Gloucestershire ( UK)  in fashion design receiving my degree. During my  training at Seneca College and at the University of Gloucestershire, I gained critical insight into branding and hands-on experience with fashion design. I positioned myself within industry standard photoshoots, designing, styling, discussing brand identity, team work, photography, and modeling for the brand during my two year internship. In addition; I have experience in creating a final collection from 2D sketching designs to 3D realization of concepts, overseeing fittings to presenting my collection on a runway during fashion week in Beijing China (April 2021) and Toronto’s fashion week in May 2021.
