Exercise judgment and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly and determining when to refer problems to the supervisor or next level of support. Escalate IT service requests approaching or exceeding their SLAs and adjust staff priorities. Prepare a summary of open issues. Manage, monitor, and report on the services and service levels required to support and deliver an exceptional IT Assistance. Order and stock office supplies when necessary. Maintain systems, databases, and web pages. Provide training as required. Performed firmware updates, configuration backups, and health checks on network equipment. Supported helpdesk operations and escalated complex networking. Monitor bandwidth utilization and generated monthly reports for IT management. Establishes data networks by running, terminating, and installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors and cable trays. Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems. Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications. Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation. Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions. Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site; repairing an installation diagram. Carrying out network installation to standard. Configuring and integrating network and telecommunication technology with computer software, hardware, desktop, peripherals, databases and operating systems.
