Jess Provost

I am a third year student at Usask. I spent ten years after high school gaining experience in customer service while determining on a career to pursue. I am passionate about the environment and decided to aim towards becoming a Remediation Specialist.

Over the years, I have developed strong skills in attention to detail and computer literacy. I often work with Excel, both within and outside of University. I pride myself in being quick and efficient at the work that I do, while also maintaining high quality work.

My most recent job was at Mastermind Toys at Preston Crossing, Saskatoon, SK. I worked there as a Shift Leader for two years.

At this position, my main duties included training and delegating tasks to sales associates. I would ensure that everyone reached or exceeded their personal goals as well as the company's KPI goals. In order to reach these goals, I would personalize each individual's training to highlight their strengths and improve on their weaknesses. Along with these duties, I also would provide excellent customer service as a part of the sales team and operate the POS system.

Aside from this position, I have worked in retail and customer service for eight years before working at Mastermind Toys. With those jobs, I worked in positions as a Sales Associate and an Assistant Manager. The rest of my work has been similar tasks to Mastermind Toys.

I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Science in Renewable Resource Management at the University of Saskatchewan. I am a third year, expecting to graduate within the next two. I am an honours student and have maintained the grades necessary since I began in 2020.
