Wálás Ǧiáxsix̌a, thank you very much for taking time to review my application.  I would be keen to further discuss my experience and share a snapshot of areas of work I have been gifted to engage within.

My background is broadly blended, and as a Heiltsuk First Nation member, I am culturally grounded and keenly committed to advancing work that both values and incorporates the ancestral teachings and knowledges of our unique Indigenous systems, which have always sustained our wellness.

I am driven towards furthering cultural humility and space that builds from an upstream (w)holistic/strength-based approach to safety within health systems.   

I gratefully possess experience within archaeology, community health programming, clinical and research settings in both qualitative and quantitative methodology. My recent highlights as an Indigenous Research Analyst have included the following;

I would happily welcome the opportunity to further discuss my roles within the We Walk Together Wellness Indicators project, (data collection, analysis and interpretation), International Journal of Indigenous Health, Perinatal Services BC, Knowledge Exchange webinar, COVID Redeployment, various advisory roles, data sovereignty working group member and overall cultural safety support and insights that may strongly benefit important work being done to benefit the landscape of Indigenous health and wellness.
